Ultrasone HFI-2400 Review: 1st of all these headphones are at their best with music played at a moderate to low volume and any attempt to crank them will result in very nasty distortion. At max listenable volume they're about 1/3rd the volume of Dr. Dre Studio beats and anything higher will result in distortion. Not a good idea to use these with an iPod/iPhone/mp3 player; you definitely need a good headphone amp to drive them.
